When charger is disconnected from the mains, or battery is fully charged, a relay is used to automatically disconnect the charger from the batteries, to prevent the battery from flowing back (Backfeed).
The smart lithium ion battery charger is protected against reverse polarity connection. With the application of soft start technology, the output is spark proof.
